William Edmondson joined 1E in November 2013 and is responsible for the group’s global finance, legal, and HR functions. Will brings over 20 years’ experience in financial roles mainly within the software industry and his aim is to accelerate growth at 1E in a sustainable way.
After gaining a BSc in Economics, Will qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He then spent a few years in the media industry at ITV as a Divisional Financial Controller before moving onto his first Finance Director role at a VC-backed start-up specializing in internet security. At Autodesk, a US-based, multi-national software company, Will started as the UK Finance Director, progressing up to Regional Finance Director responsible for $1bn of revenues in Europe, India, and the Middle-east and Africa regions. Following Autodesk, Will spent five years as CFO of the UK-listed document management provider Idox, a period which saw the company double in size mainly through acquisition.
